Proctor asks medics and patients
- One injured person was hard to find. Were they in this group?
- How long did it take the medics to get to this patient? Patient was unconscious; did medics talk to patient while doing assessment? Did medics call 911? EMS may have arrived and assumed care: were there issues transferring care?
- One had very visible injuries and Hepatitis C. Were they in this group?
- Visible injuries are distracting. How did medics triage and talk to the person? This person has Hep C; if medics did not do careful BSI they have been exposed.
- One did not want a man to touch her. Was she in this group?
- How did you navigate consent? Did you find her bruises? Was she at risk of a spinal injury?
- One was a livestreamer. Were they in this group?
- Did medics help this person have something to do? Did medics check for hidden injuries? (cracked iPad means something happened)
- One was long-term homeless and combative. Were they in this group?
- People with head injuries often act drunk, and people who are perceived as alcohol or drug users are often under-treated, especially when they have possible head injuries. Did they get care?
- One really wanted to leave the scene. Were they in this group?
- They had a risk of spinal injury and a closed lower leg fracture, but will be arrested if they go to the hospital. What happened with them?
- One fainted. Were they in your group?
- Did medics investigate what happened to them? Did medics call 911?
- One was the friend of the one who fainted. Were they in your group?
- Did medics talk to the friend to investigate what happened to the person who fainted?
- One was older and had markedly increased shortness of breath. Were they in your group?
- Did medics recognize a breathing problem, calm the person, find out what was going on, call 911?
- One was a union construction worker who knows CPR. Were they in your group?
- Did medics protect people from losing too much heat?
- How did medics deal with the building security?
- Actors (other than scenario medics): any more comments or feedback?
